The Holiday Season

I love the holidays and I think my family has the best traditions.  I was horrible and didn't take any pictures on Thanksgiving.  I was enjoying the food too much I guess.  But all of my Mom's family were here this year and we had a full house.  It was lots of fun to see everyone.  Then we headed up to Graydon's family and had a really yummy dinner there and watched the movie UP with everyone.  That is such a cute movie!!

Well the day after is really when all the fun is.  My Dad's family has a very fun tradition where we go up and hunt for our Christmas trees.  Yep we go and cut down our own trees!!!  It's so much fun, everyone comes and the kids play in the snow and we eat chili and hot dogs with lots of hot chocolate.  It's always different and this year was not too cold and the wind was not blowing so it was very nice.  Here is Kayla on the ride up watching a DVD, her arms where that forever!

Kayla thought it was more fun to pull the sled then ride in it.  But riding was fun too!!!                                                                     Here is my cute grandpa!!  He always comes up.  And what is a trip with out a ride on the four wheelers

Painting Toes

So Kayla sure loves to do everything herself.  She also is very girly.  So she has taken to wanting to paint her toe nails by herself.  Also when she is done with that she wants to paint Daddy's nails.  That's right Daddy's not Mommy's.  I caught her in the act the other day and it's so cute I have to share.  Also kudos to my hubby for letting her paint his nails.  He is playing his computer while she paints his nails in these pictures.

Witches NIght Out

So there is a place here in Utah that is called Gardner Village and they have this wonderful event called witches night out. Women come dresses as witches to enjoy good music, great deals at the shops and to check out all the fun decorations. It is pretty much just a fun time and an excuse to dress up and get out of the house. Well me and my good friend Ginger from work went this year and I just have to share my pictures. The one above is me with my good friend the witch on the bench.

You caught me with my friend the chocolate witch.

This was our ticket to go see the witches in their home. Yeah they gave us cockroaches for our tickets.

Gingers beautiful costume.

My costume, I'm pretty proud of the tutu I made.

And us saying hello to our friend the bench witch once again.

Kayla is 2!!!

That's right my baby has turned 2!!! It was a very eventful weekend with lots of fun. The day of her birthday we gave Kayla her big gift from Graydon, me and her uncles. It took Graydon 3 hours to put it together but she absolutley loves it. It's a fun little play kitchen! She is always making us food now and it's fun to watch her be creative. I had to get creative in how to wrap the present but I think it turned out pretty cute.

The next evening we had a fun BBQ and Kayla got her cupcake. Every time I would talk about making a birthday cake she would say "No Mama, cupcakes." So I made cupcakes of course. She then proceeded to blow out the candle and eat only the frosting.

On Sunday we had a fun get together with Graydon's family where she got a bunch of cute outfits and more cupcakes. You can see how happy she is when we are all singing Happy Birthday to her and she loved blowing out her candles again.

So to jump back to Saturday we had a very exciting day. Aunt Jo and Uncle Bryan joined us on our trip to Wheeler Farm. Kayla loves animals and so I thought this would be the perfect place to go and have fun at. After Aunt Jo treated us to so very yummy ice cream sandwhiches from Smart Cookie. It was extremely yummy!!!

I love this last picture of me and Kayla. We were feeding the ducks and she thought it was pretty cool and she took the time to actually look at the camera. I can't believe that it has been two years now!! It feels like only yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. I can't believe how grown up she is.

Dancing Kayla

Well Kayla started dance today, yes dance. The sad part is I don't get to take her because I have work but my lovely hubby is so nice to take her on his day off. She wasn't sure at first something new and all but once she got going she really enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures that I made Graydon promise to take for me and I love them so much.

This is her being the leader and using the prop to show them what to do.

Can you tell how much fun she was having?!!!!

I love that she is interested in dance and music as it was such a big part in my life. She is so cute and I can't believe she will be two in just a couple of weeks!!! YIKES!!!

Thankful in Hard Times

So if you didn't know Graydon has been in the hospital 4 times in the last 2 months. With major stomach pains and other problems. They still haven't figured out what is causing all of it but he has figured out that he needs plenty of rest and a good diet to keep it at a minimum. Then on top of all that my daughter got stitches(see last post) She was very brave when she got them out and it looks like it's going to be only a tiny scare. During all this craziness it has been very easy to be sad or worried and not see the blessings that have come into our lives. But I'm writing them down to remind me that there was some good in all of this. First off I got a new sister-in-law, Raye and she is awesome. Next that me and my husband have insurance and jobs through all of this. Things are tight but I couldn't imagine what this would do to us if we didn't have these things. And last is that we have some much family there to support us through all of this. We are lucky that right now we live with my parents and that when I had to take Graydon to the hospital we could leave Kayla asleep and they were there. So I just want to say thank you to all who have helped and will help until we figure out what is wrong with Graydon and that I am trying to see the small blessings hidden behind all the trials.

We are now private!! Now for the craziness.

My little brother Curtis got married on August 14th to a great girl named Raye. They are very much in love and we are really excited to have Raye in the family. I'm very excited to have a new sister-in-law.

Kayla got to be the flower girl. I was really worried if she would do it or not but she pulled through. She was so cute. I held the basket and she would grab a handful and drop it on the ground. It was very cute indeed.

After there was a nice stream running through the park and of course Kayla had to play in it. She ended up falling in but she had fun none the less.

Yeah for family pictures!!! We haven't had a nice picture of us since Kayla was a month old so I was so excited when we got this one.

Well sadly we did have an accident that night. Kayla was standing on a chair trying to get ice out of Graydon's cup. She leaned too far and fell off the chair hitting her head on the table. Lucky for us Graydon caught her before she hit the tile floor but damage was still done. She now had 5 stitches above her eye. It was probably more traumatic for me and Graydon who had to hold her down while they did it. She is acting very herself now.
