Camping

Yes I am crazy and we went camping over labor day weekend and yes I was like 31 weeks pregnant.  But Kayla had a blast and it was our only opportunity this year to go camping so we took it.  Lucky for us my parents have a wonderful tent trailer and let us bunk with them.  It made it a little more comfortable.

So when I say Kayla loved camping she loved getting dirty.  This was really only an hour of us being at the camp site.  I love her face in this picture because you can tell she was having so much fun.

Wonder how someone gets that dirty.  Well sit down in the dirt and play with it of course!!  We had to direct her so she wouldn't sit in an ant hill but we managed to leave without a bug bite!

Kayla showing off the trees around our camp site.  She just thought it was so cool that everything was right there!

She was a really big helper and wanted to be part of everything.  Here she is taking down the potty house.  My parents were nice enough to bring their little portapotty for me (THANK YOU).  But while we were at the lake Kayla did have to learn about the great outdoors potty.  She thought it was pretty cool.

And as always she had to help put down the tent trailer.  She really did a lot of the cranking before she got too tired.  I was greatly impressed.

So I really didn't take that many pictures which is horrible but we had fun and Kayla got good and dirty.

Kayla's Birthday

Okay so they tell you that your kids grow up so fast and you don't know how fast.  I can't believe my baby girl turned 3!  It seems so unreal that she has been with us for 3 whole years.  We had a super fun weekend for her birthday and I don't think she could complain.  We started out with going to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa.  She thought it was fun to have Grandpa do everything with her.  It also happened to be the day Radio Disney was there and they announced her birthday and gave her some fun prizes.
Here's Kayla on her rhino ride!!  Notice the crown she was very proud of the fact that it was her birthday and she was the princess.

Where the big cats are it's called Asian Highlands and they have a little house that the kids can explore and touch everything.  They had chop sticks out and Kayla sat there for a good 10 mins practicing.  It was very cute.

Here's Kayla roaring like a tiger!!

My little monkey is no longer the size of a infant gorilla!  She's getting too big!

So Kayla doesn't like cake or cupcakes or really anything sweet.  She does love ice cream so we made sure we had plenty of that.  But if you notice here that her candles are on eclairs.  We knew she wouldn't eat a cake so we got something that we would eat and enjoy.

Oh but the funniest thing was when she was blowing out her candles.  She wouldn't open her mouth to blow and would only do it threw her teeth so it took her like 10 blows to get her candles out!!  But she loved it!

Present time!!!

Kayla was in desprate need of clothing since she had just had a major growth spurt and summer was coming to an end.  Good thing this girl loves clothes!!  She got so many cute things I was in heaven!

So we invited some good friends of ours and their little boy Kayla absolutely adores!  She just loves to play with him.  They gave her a brand new dress up princess dress!  So was so excited and had to wear it right then!  She even wore it in the bounce house.

So now my little princess is 3 and I can't believe she has been with us that long!  I love her and she sure is a great example to me!  She always WANTS to go to church, and loves loves the temple.  She gets sad when we tell her she can't go inside until she's bigger.  She is so happy and includes everyone in her play and makes friends so quickly!  I love her and she will be an amazing big sister.

32 weeks! 8 weeks until my due date!

I can't believe that I'm already at 32 weeks!  I feel like I'm so big and I can hardly move sometimes.  When people ask how I am doing I just want to say pregnant because that pretty much sums it up.  Kayla is being wonderful!  She loves to talk to her baby and to help Mommy.  I think she can tell I'm having a hard time keeping up with her now and it's sad but I can't really pick her up any more.  It makes me so sad so most of the time I sit down on the ground and let her get in my lap.  Too bad it is so hard to get up from the ground.  I've been having lots of braxton hicks contractions and it has gotten hard to sleep comfortably.  I just have to remember the wonderful little guy I will get in the end.

Baby Blankets

So I know that Kayla will not want to share her blankets so I have been collecting fabrics that I have found.  Today I finally had the energy to make them.  The top one is a flannel and fleece blanket.  It's a little difficult keeping straight lines with the fleece because it stretches but I like how it turned out.

Next one is a flannel blanket and I fell in love with the fabric at the store.  This one was a lot easier to keep straight and I love the color combo.

I can't take credit for the last beautiful blanket.  My mother in law made it and it is just amazing.  The quilting is all done by hand!!  It is so cute!

Kayla wanted a picture with her baby brothers blankets because she "helped".  She did help and she is super excited to be involved in getting things ready for her baby.  That's right it's not my baby it's hers and I get in trouble if I call it my baby.  She has started talking to him through my belly and I think it's so cute!

28 weeks.

I can't believe I am in my third trimester!  It has gone by so fast.  With Kayla I was so ahead of the game and was all about getting everything ready.  But with this one it sure is sneaking up on me.  I don't feel like I'm ready at all or have things out of storage but I also don't feel the need to do that yet.  So I guess I will be doing a lot the last month when I finally realize how close it is.   But other than that I feel pretty good, tired but good.  He is all out front and down low so I can feel it tugging and pulling my stomach when I pick up things.  Kayla is starting to become too difficult for me to lift.  Well this is when the baby is really suppose to pack on the pounds so lets see how big I get.

What's every little girls dream...

For Daddy to bring you home a bouncy castle to play in.  Yeah Graydon went to his work party and came home with a bounce house.  He won a bounce house!!  I had mixed feelings about this, my thoughts were where are we going to store it.   But after watching how much fun Kayla had in it and thinking about her birthday next month it's a good thing.  I have a feeling we might become the coolest people to invite to parties.  Well here's a picture of Kayla with her cousins enjoying her new castle.

Boating

So with it being super hot and all my parents decided to pull out the boat.  I decided that I would grin and bear the heat and take Kayla.  She loved being on Grandpa's boat!!!  They got her to go swimming in the lake and she was very proud of herself.  She wasn't such a fan of the tube even though I was right there.  But her favorite was driving the boat.  She would sit at the wheel any chance she could get.  It was lots of fun but I don't think I could take another trip.  The bouncing just about killed me.  So hopefully someone will take her out again since she loved it so much!
