Fathers Day

I am dedicating this post to all the fathers in my in my life.

My Dad!  He is wonderful and my kids absolutely adores him!  He was always the quiet one but I never wanted to disappoint my dad.  Now that I'm older I love to talk with him and he is always ready to share what he has learned from his experiences.  He has always been a priesthood holder and is was so comforting to know he was there.

My hubby!  Oh how I love and need this man.  He works so hard and fights through so many trials.  He is my rock and always reels me in when I'm close to the edge.  He is a wonderful, amazing dad!  Kayla is all about dad and wants to do everything with him.  He is a worthy priesthood holder and for that I am so grateful!  He is there to keep us centered in the church.

So happy Father's Day all!

Camping

So we went camping this past weekend and it was Carter's first time!  It was nice during the day but oh so cold at night.  The kids were warm so that was great.
Carter is an outdoor lover so this was fun for him and he spent a lot of the time on the grass.  So we were invited to go camping with one of Graydon's coworker.  They have a membership to camperworld.  Well this campground had a pool!

This was Carter's first time going swimming too and he loves it!  He always splashes up a storm in the tub so being in a pool was great.

Kayla loved LOVED camping!  She is already asking to go back.  I don't know if it's because she can get as dirty as possible or if it's because she gets to be outside all day.  She would just run around all day.  There was a playground in the middle of the campground and she made quite a few friends while we were there.

This picture Kayla actually took of Daddy getting into the cooler.

We had a great time but were ready to come home after two nights.

Carter is 7 months old!!!

Oh how the time has flown by and Carter is now 7 months old! He is a happy boy!  He loves to play sitting up but is getting really good at rolling around.  He has started to get frustrated with not being able to crawl.  He sees something and tries to get it but ends up going backwards.

He is also loving finger foods.  He has had cheerios and puffs.  He loves being able to feed himself!  It helps to distract him so I can eat my food without him trying to grab it.  He is such a fun boy and loves to play with Kayla.

Since we don't go to the doctor this month I weighed him myself he's a big boy weighing a whole 19lbs!  Also we are about 2 months away from Carter's surgery for his cleft palate.  I'm starting to get really anxious but looking forward to having it over and done with.

Playing Nice!

Kayla can get Carter laughing so hard sometimes when she's not smothering him to death.  She just loves him so much and won't keep her hands to herself no matter what.  She is starting to get that she doesn't need to be touching him to be playing with him.  This was such a cute moment between them and they didn't even really notice that I was there.  I love it! Sorry it's not the best picture quality.  I just grabbed my phone to take the video.

Meeting New Cousin

So I'm excited to say that I'm an Aunt!  I became an Aunt when I married Graydon but this is the first one on my side.  My little brother Curtis and his wife Raye had baby Remington on May 13th!  He is such a cute baby and Carter looks huge next to him!  Carter is 6 months in this picture and Remington is almost a week old.  It was so fun to have them all together.

Kayla wanted to act like a baby too since she was by two of them so that is what she is doing in this picture.

And to show you how mobile Carter is getting it was very hard to keep this boy on his back so we could take a picture.  He really wanted to get Kayla.

Kayla's preschool graduation.

Today was Kayla's Preschool Graduation.  She still has 2 more years of preschool because she actually misses the deadline by 18 days.  But she loves, LOVES school.  I don't know what she will do this summer without it.

Miss Appen is the teacher and she is actually Graydon's sister!  We love her and she does great with all the kids.  I'm so happy we have her to be Kayla's preschool teacher.  She said her part in the program so well and did pretty good at staying up there.  I only had to help her once to go back.  I love this girl!

Easter

The pictures are not in order so hang in there with me.  Easter was wonderful and very tiring.  We got to see all the cousins and don't they all look very nice.  Kayla has gotten old enough that we just send her out to play with her cousins and they get along really well.  It's so nice!

Carter in his Easter digs!  So handsome!

Kayla checking out her loot.  She really loved opening the eggs to see what was hiding inside.

Okay so now we are to Easter morning pictures.  First off I was very frustrated this morning because the camera was not charged.  I was very upset so these pictures were taken by my phone so they are not the best.  Kayla's favorite things she got was a Dora Wii game.  She can play it all by herself and she loves it!

Carter's favorite things was the grass in his basket.  I got the paper kind because I knew it would end up in his mouth.

Kayla helped Carter find his basket and to see what was in it.

Kayla was very excited about everything she found.  It was fun watching her.

More Carter with the grass.  It was way too cute not to take lots of pictures.
