First Mothers Day

So I had a wonderful first Mother's Day. I got to sleep in which is the best gift ever!!! Then Graydon made me french toast and it was great. My gift was a spa package which I get a massage, a facial and a pedicure! Yep I have the best hubby ever! Kayla found a popcorn tin that we got for Christmas and has been playing with it for a while. Well to be funny I stood her in it and she loved it. She got so mad when I took her out. But it sure did make for some cute pictures. Then we went to a bbq for our friends graduation and Kayla was grumpy and dirty so she got a bath with her buddy Grant. They had a grand time keeping each other entertained and Grant even tried to wash Kayla's hair for her.

Hospital and Camping

Believe it or not they are not related. So Tuesday morning about 2 am Graydon woke up very sick. He couldn't stop vomiting. So at 4 am we called Graydon's mom, who lives in the house below us, to come up to watch Kayla and I took Graydon to the hospital. Well lucky for us they weren't busy and Graydon saw someone really quick and they could him hooked up to an iv with fluids nice and quick because he was so badly dehydrated. Well they checked for appendicitis and he got a ct scan but it turned out to be an amazingly bad flare up of his crohns disease. So he was admitted to the hospital and got a good dose of medicines and antibiotics and he was released on Wednesday afternoon. So now he just has to keep up with his medicines and hopefully it won't happen again.

Now on to a happier note. We went camping this weekend. Yes Graydon wouldn't have anything to do with not going even after being in the hospital so we went. We went to Willard Bay campground which is only about an hour north of where we live so we just left after I got home from work on Friday. Well it was nice and chilly because of course the first day of May came in with snow. We had good food, was pretty cold Friday night but everyday it warmed up and Saturday night was so much better. Kayla did pretty good but wanted to be down in the dirt crawling around so it was interesting. We played games and took walks and pretty much did nothing. It was great. Of course I got some great pictures of Kayla and had to share.

She's on the Move!

So Kayla is crawling now! She's still going slower but it's crazy! Hurry get everything off the floor that is not for Kayla! She is so happy to being moving! I feel happy and sad that she is crawling. Yeah she is progressing and enjoying moving but my baby is growing and getting bigger and soon I will have to start chasing after her. Bitter sweet. OH but let me tell you something that I need to just rate and rave about. 3 year olds are worse that 2's! I swear I have some of the most destructive students ever. I actually had to say theses words, "We do not take pictures off the wall to chew on them or their tape!" I mean come on!!! I do love teaching them but sometimes I just can't believe what they do. Oh and the hat in the picture my Aunt Jo gave to Kayla isn't cute and fun! Thanks Aunt Jo! Well until next time!

Kiddy Days

So I've started my new job and it's crazy and fun. I teach the 3 year olds and man do they have energy and it's pretty tough to get them all to listen. But I like it so much better and it will be a good change. I've already caught a cold and lost my voice from being around all those kids but such is the life of child care. Kayla is trying so hard to crawl and gets frustrated because it's not going the way she wants. She's so busy and is always moving! She started at KinderCare also and seems to like it. Kayla loves being around other baby's and is very social. My mom's school had picture day and I took Kayla down to get her picture taken. I decided to put her in the little red and black dress that we love and did her hair curly. I can't wait to get those pictures back. So I've started putting Kayla's hair up because it has gotten so long that if I don't it's gets in her eyes. So here is my baby with her cute pig tails. Well that is the update our lives. Update!

Yippee! I've found a new job! I will be working at Kindercare Learner Center and I'm so very excited about it. I will be the 3 year olds core teacher. It's going to be hard but so much fun! Plus we get an amazing discount on child care and with our babysitter having a baby in a couple months it's good to know. Kayla is getting more and more mobile everyday and I find my self pulling things out of her reach all the time. Some things you never thought of until she's going for it. She is starting to pull her self on her tummy forward. I just keep going "you don't need to do that just stay as little as you are". Oh well. Well here is the picture of the day. Kayla loves to sit in big chairs and feel so big. Well she got a hold of one of my magazines and it was so cute I had to snap a picture.

Story Time!!!

So me and my really good friend Dasha would get really bored at work so we would play this game. We were only allowed to write 3 lines then send it back to other person to right the next part. Well we have had some pretty weird stories but one turned out really good. So to start sharing it here it is. We are going to make it into to a book for our daughters so nothing too big but we like it.

THE PRINCESS AND THE FRY-COOK

ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE LIVED A UGLY PRINCESS. SHE WAS THE RICHEST, WELL KNOWN PRINCESS AROUND. MANY SUITORS CAME TO SEE HER, BUT SHE ALWAYS SAID NO, FOR SHE KNEW THEY DIDN'T LOVE HER, THEY LOVED HER MONEY.

SO SHE DECIDED THAT SHE NEEDED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T KNOW HOW RICH SHE WAS. SHE PUT ON A PEASANTS OUTFIT AND PICKED THE NAME OF JUJUIE AND SET OUT TO FIND HER TRUE LOVE. JUJUIE WALKED FOR HOURS ON THE HIGHWAY BEFORE SHE CAME ACROSS ANYONE.

SHE COULD NOT TAKE THE WALKING ANYMORE AND CAME ACROSS THIS LITTLE MOM AND POP DINNER, CALLED MOM AND POP DINNER. SHE DECIDED THAT SHE WOULD STOP IN AND HAVE SOME LUNCH AND REST A BIT BEFORE SHE SET OUT AGAIN. INSIDE THERE WAS THIS CUTE LITTLE OLD LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER WITH A BIG OLD GRIN.

THIS LADY DIDN'T CRINGE LIKE OTHERS WHEN THEY SAW HER FACE AND WAS SO NICE TO HER. SHE WAS SO HAPPY TO MEET A KIND PERSON AND SO JUJUIE FELT A LITTLE PRETTY FOR ONCE IN HER LIFE. JUJUIE RETURNED THE OLD LADIES GRIN AND ASKED HER HOW WAS WORKING IN THIS LITTLE DINNER.

THE OLD LADY TOLD HER THAT IT WAS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS THAT HER AND HER HUSBAND STARTED AND SHE LOVED IT. HER HUSBAND WAS SICK AT HOME SO IT WAS JUST HER AND HER SON IN THE KITCHEN THAT DAY. THEN SHE ASKED WHAT A SWEET LITTLE THING LIKE HER WAS DOING AROUND THAT AREA.

AGAIN JUJUIE FELT A LITTLE MORE PRETTY AND SHE LOVED THE FEELING. SO SHE OPENED UP TO THE LITTLE OLD LADY THAT SHE WAS IN SEARCH FOR SOMEONE WHO TRUELY LOVED HER. AT THIS THE LITTLE OLD LADY SMILED AND ASKED JUJUIE WHAT SHE WOULD LIKE TO EAT FOR HER SON COULD MAKE ANYTHING SHE WANTED.

SHE DECIDE TO HAVE SOME GOOD OLD FASHION APPLE PIE AND VANILLA ICE CREAM. WHEN THE OLD LADY WALKED AWAY WITH HER ORDER JUJUIE DECIDED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND WASH HER HANDS . WHEN SHE WENT IN SHE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND NOTICED THAT HER TEETH LOOKED A LITTLE STRAIGHTER AND THE WART ON HER NOSE HAD DISAPPEARED.

SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT IT WAS HER IN THE MIRROR! DID THIS LITTLE OLD LADY HAVE MAGICAL POWERS THAT COULD MAKE HER BEAUTIFUL? SHE RAN BACK TO HER SEAT AT THE COUNTER BUT THE SHE WAS GONE AND IN HER PLACE WAS HER HANSOM SOME WITH HER PIE.

SHE STOPPED IN HER STEPS, AND A LITTLE EMBARRASSED PROCEEDED TO THE COUNTER A LITTLE SLOWER. THE MAN SAID, " HI MY NAME IS GARRETT! MY MOM HAS TOLD ME A LOT ABOUT YOU. DO YOU MIND IF I SIT WITH YOU WHILE YOU EAT YOUR PIE ?"

JUJUIE NODDED HER HEAD AND SAT DOWN WHILE HE SAT NEXT TO HER AND VERY NICELY STARTED ASKING ABOUT HER. SHE FELT SO COMFORTABLE TALKING WITH HIM AND THE WAY HE LOOKED AT HER SHE BEGAN TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL. IT SOON BECAME DARK AND THEY KEEP TALKING ABOUT ANYTHING.

SHE LOOKED OUT AND SAW HOW DARK IT WAS. SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE LOVED TALKING TO HIM, BUT IT WAS GETTING DARK AND SHE SHOULD HEAD HOME SOON. HE THEN OFFERED HER A RIDE IF SHE WOULD LIKE, OR THEY HAD A COUPLE ROOMS BEHIND THEIR RESTAURANT THAT THEY RENT OUT THAT SHE COULD STAY, EITHER WAY HE DIDN'T WANT HER WALKING OUT IN THE DARK ALONE.

SHE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE SO SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD TAKE ONE OF THE ROOMS IN THE BACK. HE SMILED AT HER AND SAID HE WOULD WALK HER TO THE BEST ONE THEY HAD. HIS SMILE WARMED HER HEART AND SHE FELT LIKE SHE COULD FLY.

SHE SAID THANK YOU AND THEY WALKED AND TALKED ON THE WAY TO THE ROOM. HE OPENED THE DOOR FOR HER AND WISHED HER A GOOD NIGHT. BEFORE HE LEFT THOUGH HE ASKED IF SHE WOULD LIKE TO JOIN HIM AND HIS PARENTS FOR DINNER.

JUJUIE WAS OVER JOYED WITH THE THOUGHT OF THIS AND AGREED. SO THEY BEGAN TO WALK TO THE HOUSE ON THE BACK OF THE LOT WHICH HE AND HIS PARENTS LIVED IN. SHE LOVED TALKING TO HIM AND HIS MOTHER THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT NIGHT.

SHE CAME IN AND INTRODUCED HERSELF TO HIS FATHER AND SAT DOWN TO DINNER WITH THE FAMILY. SHE HAD THE BEST TIME AND DIDN'T THINK SHE HAD EVER LAUGHED SO HARD IN HER LIFE. AFTER ABOUT 3 GLASSES OF LEMONADE SHE EXCUSED HERSELF TO THE BATHROOM. WHEN SHE WAS WASHING HER HANDS, SHE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND ALMOST DROPPED THE SOAP. SHE WAS PRETTY, SOMEHOW AND SOMEWAY SHE WAS PRETTY. HER MOLES AND WARTS HAD DISAPPEARED AND HER TEETH WERE PRETTY AND WHITE. WHAT HAD HAPPENED? AS SHE STOOD THERE LOOKING IN THE MIRROR, SHE DECIDED SHE NEEDED TO TALK TO THE OLD WOMEN.

SHE CAME OUT AND FOUND THE OLD WOMEN WASHING THE DISHES IN THE KITCHEN. SHE ASKED IF SHE COULD HELP, AND THE OLD WOMEN HAPPILY ACCEPTED. FINALLY SHE ASKED HER "DO YOU HAVE MAGICAL POWERS?" THE OLD WOMEN LOOKED UP A LITTLE CONFUSED. "EXCUSE ME DEAR, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN?"

" WHEN I WALKED INTO YOUR RESTAURANT THIS AFTERNOON, I WAS HIDEOUS, AND NOW WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR I AM PRETTY! WHAT HAPPENED?" SHE ASKED HER. THE OLD WOMEN JUST SMILED AT HER AND EXPLAINED. " DEAR, YOU HAVE BEEN BEAUTIFUL THE WHOLE TIME, YOU JUST DIDN'T WANT TO SEE IT. YOU LISTEN TO PEOPLE PUT YOU DOWN AND SAY MEAN THINGS, SO WHENEVER YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR, YOU SEEM MORE UGLY EVERYDAY. WHEN YOU CAME IN TODAY, YOU MET SOME GOOD WHOLESOME PEOPLE THAT MADE YOU FEEL PRETTY AND LOVED. WITH THOSE FEELINGS YOU WERE FINALLY ABLE TO SEE YOURSELF FOR WHO YOU REALLY ARE. LOVE YOUR SELF AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON YOU WANT TO BE."

JUJUIE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY. ALL THIS TIME SHE THOUGHT ABOUT HOW UGLY SHE WAS, WHEN ALL SHE WAS DOING WAS MAKING HERSELF SEEM MORE UGLY TO HER SELF. SHE THANKED THE OLD LADY WITH A BIG HUG AND WITH A SMILE TURNED BACK INTO THE DINING ROOM WITH A NEW ATTITUDE THEN SHE HAD EVER HAD BEFORE.

SHE LOVED THE FRY COOK AND DECIDED SHE NEEDED TO TAKE A CHANCE BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN SO GOOD TO HER. SHE WALKED UP TO HIM AND SAID " I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU IN SUCH A SHORT TIME. BUT I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU LOVE ME TOO." HE JUST GAZED INTO HER EYES AND KISSED HER AND THEN WHISPERED IN HER EAR " I LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU."

TEARS CAME TO EYES FOR SHE HAD NEVER FELT SO MUCH JOY. SHE TOLD THE WHOLE FAMILY HER STORY OF HOW SHE WAS A PRINCESS AND THAT SHE HAD DISGUISSED HER SELF SO THAT SHE COULD FIND HE TRUE LOVE, WHICH SHE HAD DONE. SHE ALSO WAS MOVED THAT SHE HAD NOT ONLY FOUND AN AMAZING MAN BUT AN AMAZING FAMILY WHICH SHE HAD BEEN MISSING.

THE PRINCESS AND THE FRY COOK WERE MARRIED AND THEY BROUGHT HIS PARENTS TO COME LIVE WITH THEM IN THE CASTLE. THEY STILL RAN THE LITTLE DINER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE IT IS WHERE THEY FELL IN LOVE AND THEY ENJOYED PEOPLE GOOD THINGS TO EAT. THE PRINCESS NEVER FELT UGLY AGAIN AND BECAME KNOWN AS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL QUEEN EVER ALL BECAUSE PEOPLE BELIEVED IN HER AND SHE BELIEVED IN HERSELF.

Uncle Curtis

So my brother Curtis has returned home from his mission because of medical reasons. It's sad that he's home for that reason but it's great that he gets to be part of Kayla's life while she's growing up. He loves being an Uncle. Before he left he made her a rocking horse that is absolutely beautiful! And now Kayla is starting to enjoy her pony. Here is a picture of her now on it and she thinks she is so big to be riding her pony.
