December

So our December has been really busy so buckle down and get ready for a long entry.

First off we love the zoo here and have year passes.  Well they put up lights in December and they are really cool.  Well the only problem is that it is freezing!!!!  But they have heaters everywhere so it is worth it.  Kayla didn't enjoy us bundling her up but once she saw the lights she was happy.  She loves the carousal and every time we go she begs us to go and it's very cheep so usually we give in.

Second was Christmas, oh it was so much fun!!!  Kayla loved all the attention and helping everyone open their presents.  We spent the night at my mother-in-laws house so that she could see Kayla open her presents.  It was lots of fun and we really enjoyed being with her.  Then we went over to my sister-in-laws to open more presents and have a wonderful breakfast.  After that we went back home where my family was.  Kayla got to meet my brother and his wifes new puppy, Harley.  She was in love and would not leave that poor pup alone from then on.  After that we went to my grandparents and have a turkey dinner with that side of the family.  It was a busy day but lost of fun!!!

Lastly me and Kayla went on a trip.  Graydon had inventory so he was not able to take work off and so my parents let me and Kayla tag along to California.  I was wonderful to go to the ocean, I have missed it.  Kayla did really well on the trip since we drove she got to watch a lot of movies.  She loved the ocean!!!  Sticks, water and rocks what 2 year old wouldn't be in love.  One of her favorite times was going to see the Elephant seals and the sea lions.  She about jumped off  the dock to see them.

So now you are caught up with our crazy life.  Graydon is back in school pursuing a degree in forensic science.  He wants to be a lab rat helping detectives solve crimes.  So now he is busy with that.  We also will be having our 4 year anniversary on the 12th.  Crazy that it has been that long.  It's amazing to look back and see all we have done together in the past 4 years.  Well that's it for now until next time ttfn!!!

The Holiday Season

I love the holidays and I think my family has the best traditions.  I was horrible and didn't take any pictures on Thanksgiving.  I was enjoying the food too much I guess.  But all of my Mom's family were here this year and we had a full house.  It was lots of fun to see everyone.  Then we headed up to Graydon's family and had a really yummy dinner there and watched the movie UP with everyone.  That is such a cute movie!!

Well the day after is really when all the fun is.  My Dad's family has a very fun tradition where we go up and hunt for our Christmas trees.  Yep we go and cut down our own trees!!!  It's so much fun, everyone comes and the kids play in the snow and we eat chili and hot dogs with lots of hot chocolate.  It's always different and this year was not too cold and the wind was not blowing so it was very nice.  Here is Kayla on the ride up watching a DVD, her arms where that forever!

Kayla thought it was more fun to pull the sled then ride in it.  But riding was fun too!!!                                                                     Here is my cute grandpa!!  He always comes up.  And what is a trip with out a ride on the four wheelers

Painting Toes

So Kayla sure loves to do everything herself.  She also is very girly.  So she has taken to wanting to paint her toe nails by herself.  Also when she is done with that she wants to paint Daddy's nails.  That's right Daddy's not Mommy's.  I caught her in the act the other day and it's so cute I have to share.  Also kudos to my hubby for letting her paint his nails.  He is playing his computer while she paints his nails in these pictures.

Witches NIght Out

So there is a place here in Utah that is called Gardner Village and they have this wonderful event called witches night out. Women come dresses as witches to enjoy good music, great deals at the shops and to check out all the fun decorations. It is pretty much just a fun time and an excuse to dress up and get out of the house. Well me and my good friend Ginger from work went this year and I just have to share my pictures. The one above is me with my good friend the witch on the bench.

You caught me with my friend the chocolate witch.

This was our ticket to go see the witches in their home. Yeah they gave us cockroaches for our tickets.

Gingers beautiful costume.

My costume, I'm pretty proud of the tutu I made.

And us saying hello to our friend the bench witch once again.

Kayla is 2!!!

That's right my baby has turned 2!!! It was a very eventful weekend with lots of fun. The day of her birthday we gave Kayla her big gift from Graydon, me and her uncles. It took Graydon 3 hours to put it together but she absolutley loves it. It's a fun little play kitchen! She is always making us food now and it's fun to watch her be creative. I had to get creative in how to wrap the present but I think it turned out pretty cute.

The next evening we had a fun BBQ and Kayla got her cupcake. Every time I would talk about making a birthday cake she would say "No Mama, cupcakes." So I made cupcakes of course. She then proceeded to blow out the candle and eat only the frosting.

On Sunday we had a fun get together with Graydon's family where she got a bunch of cute outfits and more cupcakes. You can see how happy she is when we are all singing Happy Birthday to her and she loved blowing out her candles again.

So to jump back to Saturday we had a very exciting day. Aunt Jo and Uncle Bryan joined us on our trip to Wheeler Farm. Kayla loves animals and so I thought this would be the perfect place to go and have fun at. After Aunt Jo treated us to so very yummy ice cream sandwhiches from Smart Cookie. It was extremely yummy!!!

I love this last picture of me and Kayla. We were feeding the ducks and she thought it was pretty cool and she took the time to actually look at the camera. I can't believe that it has been two years now!! It feels like only yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. I can't believe how grown up she is.

Dancing Kayla

Well Kayla started dance today, yes dance. The sad part is I don't get to take her because I have work but my lovely hubby is so nice to take her on his day off. She wasn't sure at first something new and all but once she got going she really enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures that I made Graydon promise to take for me and I love them so much.

This is her being the leader and using the prop to show them what to do.

Can you tell how much fun she was having?!!!!

I love that she is interested in dance and music as it was such a big part in my life. She is so cute and I can't believe she will be two in just a couple of weeks!!! YIKES!!!
