Beware Swimmers Butt!!!

So I have to tell you I think the above picture is so funny because moments later that diaper actually fell off because it was so loaded down with water. But we have had a simple but fun summer. It's been hot so most activities have included a way to cool off. Kayla absolutely loves her little pool and loves running and jumping in and playing ring around the roses in it. Oh and she does not want to wait for the water to warm up. Lucky for us (yeah right) it's been like a hundred degrees so it works out okay.

Also another summer time favorite is watermelon. It took us a while to get Kayla to try it because to her it was a weird texture but once she finally got some she loved it. If you can't tell by this picture below.
Well of course I had to have some too and my hubby took this picture and I like it for some reason and wanted to share.
So because I try to help reward good behavior in my classroom I have treasures or a store that they can get prizes from. Well I had my box of prizes in my car and I had recently purchases a bunch of hawaiian alais. Kayla thought this was awesome and she entertained herself on the car ride. I was so happy I had my camera with me to get this picture. She was very proud of herself to get all those on.

Reunion

So we just had my husbands side family reunion. It was lot and lots of fun but it was kind of far away for us. It was in Logan which is about a 2 hour drive from South Jordan and 2 hours in the car with Kayla can get a little interesting. But we made it up there without any major melt downs with Graydon's mother in the back seat entertaining Kayla on the ride up there. Well in Logan they have a little Zoo in the park. It's pretty cool and has lots of birds and tonz of turtles. Well Kayla loves animals and so this was great for her. Here is her running to the next animal because she was so excited.

Well here is a picture of my daughter looking at me like come on mom stop taking pictures already. She has a little bit of an attitude and I think this picture shows a little bit of it.





Next up we have Kayla in the car actually happy. And remember how I said my mother in-law was entertaining her well she pretty much emptied her purse out to entertain Kayla. Well my daughter took her calculater and turned it into a phone first then into a camera and was telling us all to say cheese. So here is a picture of her "taking" my picture.















And of course it wouldn't be a road trip without something going wrong. Well luckily it wasn't to us but sadly it had us at a dead stop on the freeway for about and hour and forty five minutes. Not much especially for a toddler who hadn't taken a nap and didn't want to be in the car again. Well here's a picture of all the cars on the freeway.

Kayla's Haircut

So we have cut Kayla's hair before because if you know her she has a ton of it. But this time we took off a big amount, 3 inches. I was a little nervous because well come on 3 inches but it turned out way cute. We went to Cookie Cutters which is a place just for kids and they know how to make the experience fun and not traumatic. Well Kayla was pretty excited about her hair and kept saying Pretty Hair when it was done. Here is a before and after shot of her cute hair. I have to say I really like it but it makes her look older which is not cool but oh well.

The Aquarium

So we have season passes to the aquarium here because they were so dang cheap and our daughter loves and I mean loves fishes. Nemo is a favorite in this house. So we go all the time because it's a small aquarium and it doesn't take us too long to go through it. I mean come on it's in Utah and just a couple years old. But we usually go without planning it so have never taken the camera. So my wonderful husband remembered to grab the camera so we have some great pictures of our little aquarium trips. YEAH!!! Kayla loves to look at every little thing even if it's just for a mintue except the frogs, she is very afraid of frogs. But you can see we have lots of fun and enjoying our little bit of the sea.
