Disneyland

We made it in the very long car ride all the way to warm California.  Both kids did pretty good and we all survived the car ride.  Once we got checked into the hotel and over to the park Kayla was chomping at the bit!  She likes to run ahead and too far away so we have a monkey backpack that has a tail to keep her close but she was so ready that she was trying to drag us along.  She really wanted to go to the tea cups.
So the first ride at Disneyland was the tea cups.  Me being the only adult who could ride without getting sick I got to ride it the multiple times that Kayla wanted to ride it.

It was nice that Carter was able to ride many of the rides with us.  He loved looking at all the different sites.

So story about meeting the characters.  The first one we came upon was Jasmine and Aladdin.  Kayla was very excited and the line wasn't too long.  Well it came to our turn and Kayla turned shy.  Now if you know Kayla you know that she is not in anyway shy.  So this picture is the best we got of that moment.

After wards she wanted to go meet the princesses but we didn't want to if she was just going to be shy.  She seemed to understand that because she was afraid of the characters we wouldn't try to meet any of them.  Then we saw a Mary Poppins street performance and she was front row and interacting with them.  I was impressed and she really enjoyed it.

Then we made it to Mickey's house in Toontown.  Well we just thought we would see the house and skip meeting Mickey but Kayla told Graydon that she wanted to and that she would be scared.  So did understand! Carter loved Toontown as there were lots of bright colors to look at as you can see he was looking around.

The line for Mickey happened to be only 15 minutes which is so short for Mickey!  So we thought why not give it a shot and Kayla went in running and gave Mickey a huge hug!  We got a great family picture with the big guy.

That lead to tons of character meetings.  Pooh Bear and Tiger.

Of course Kayla was in heaven with her cousins there with
her.  She is such a social girl and really just was happy as a clam to wait in line as long as her cousins were there with her.

She also did great helping to keep Carter entertained in our new double stroller.  Side note we found this stroller for under $100!  I love it!  It is so nice to go on long walks when the weather is nice.

The next was the day Kayla had been waiting for, meeting the princess!  My sister-in-laws, in-laws waited in line for us and when we got there we only had to wait for 15 minutes.  Kayla looked like she was going to lose control with excitement before her turn.  The first princess was Belle and she just ran with all her might and gave her the biggest hug ever!  It was so cute and Belle talk with her for a little bit and made Kayla's day!

Then there was Ariel which Kayla was very excited for also.

Then Tiana!  She was very excited for all of them and gave each hugs.  They all were very sweet to her and talked with her for a little bit.

That night we made our way over to California Adventure and Kayla had a great time in Bugs land.  All the rides were super fun and she loved that everything was like she was a bug.  Can you tell how happy she is?

The last day we saw Lightening McQueen and Mater.

Fawn the animal fairy.  She was awesome and just like the fairy from the movie.  Super talkative and excited.

And Tinkerbell of course.  Side note was not very impressed with the Tinkerbell but Kayla didn't seem to notice and enjoyed meeting her.

Then Kayla wanted to see Jasmine and Aladdin again.  Much better this time around.

The last prince of the trip was princess Aurora.

So we had a great time and Kayla really took advantage of everything.  We were worn out and tired from 4 days of fun and ready to go home.  I'm so happy we were able to have this experience and have a great vacation.
